Surfly is a Kickstarter selected in the finance and insurance vertical in the Kickstart 22 Innovation program 🥳
Here's how it unfolded...
A few weeks ago, when I visited Edinburgh, my flight from Amsterdam was delayed ✈️
As a consequence, I was late and running around like a headless chicken to find somewhere to do a presentation to 170 judges from big names: AXA, Credit Suisse, Die Mobiliar, PostFinance, Swisscom, Sanitas, CSS, SATW, ETH Zürich, Stadt Zürich and others 🏃🏻♂️😬
With 1 minute to spare I found a pub by the name of the Jolly Judge, just off the Royal Mile 👩🏻⚖️🍻
Thinking to myself whether this really was the best place I could find as there was lots of beer being drunk in the background, with the associated noise, you can imagine...
I had to focus, opened my laptop, took a deep breath, it was showtime 🎥
After a fun presentation and Q&A, the job was done...
So I went straight to the bar and ordered a pint of a delicious brew called Long White Cloud from a Scottish brewery called Tempest 🍻
It was a real pleasure to hear back a few days later that Surfly had been selected in the finance and insurance vertical from out of a couple hundred applicants 🚀
We joined their partner network and 43 awesome scaleups from 16 countries for lots of fun (*and work*) 🕺🏻
And were invited to Zürich in September for opening week, here was my 1 minute pitch 🎤
I made lot’s of new friends and caught up with old friends 🥰
